"The model was never the thing that needed governing. The switch was." That's the line, and it's the strongest case against how this was done. I'd just be careful not to let it settle the capability question by implication. Stamos's own point wasn't that the capability is harmless, it was that it isn't unique to Mythos, and he's said models in this class can turn proof-of-concepts into autonomous attack chains. Both things hold: the process was opaque and probably coercive, and the defensive-versus-offensive balance is genuinely unsettled. The governance failure is real without needing the model to be safe.
